Feb. 9, 2017 - The Charles Brooks Collective to Play Dyson House

On February 17, 2017, The Charles Brooks Collective will take the stage at the Dyson House Listening Room in Baton Rouge, LA. 
Brooks plays lead on jazz vibraphone and is joined by Chris "the Katt" Lee of Captain Green on drums, Robert Kling of Captain Green on bass, and Dr. John Bishop on electric guitar. The Collective is an experimental jazz group with roots grounded in fusion and electric jazz inspired by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, The Weather Report, Jimi Hendrix, and Pat Methany. Their modern improvisatory techniques combine with traditional jazz harmonies as melodies fuse with modern rhythmic application influenced by world music. The Collective provides a unique visual and audial experience as they present audiences with a collective journey that is an eclectic celebration of music from around the world.
